After my diploma in Fine Art and my Degree in Languages, I attended several art courses to learn about ceramics, watercolor techniques, bookbinding and printmaking in London, Oklahoma City and finally in New york City where I developed my skills as a printmaker. Influenced by music as well as war, my imagery includes musical and architectural compositions as well as scenes of war and desctruction that do not pretend to recount misery and terror, but want to strike the viewer so that he can become aware of the uselessness of war. Art is not the representation of an external beauty but the selection and research of the essence of a subject which is created for the viewer's contemplation. Exhibitions © 2002 Colleen Corradi
